Restore Capital has been asked to participate on a panel exploring the ramifications for local fishing communities of converting the US fisheries to the use of “catch-shares”.  The panel has traveled around the nation to learn about the issues in areas, such as the Gulf of Mexico, New England and the Pacific Northwest.  Restore Capital was specifically brought on board to see how investments could help fishing communities compete in this new world of catch shares.  To learn more, see the press release from Ecotrust who is spearheading the panel’s efforts.
